YOU'RE PART OF A LONG, LONG LINE …..

They came from the farms of Kentucky; the hills of West Virginia. From the shores of Maine and California, the plains of the Mid-West and the bayous of Louisiana. Men in olive drab and khaki and blue and white and brown uniforms.

And they stood their ground ..! At Lexington and Germantown; on the high seas of 1812; at Gettysburg and San Juan Hill .!! In the frozen hills of Korea and the steamy jungles of Vietnam, they stood their ground. Americans who said to evil, "It's enough ..!! To get to our people you'll have to go over me …! And you're not going over me ..!!"

And those men and women of the past, whether firing a machine gun or turning the wrench on a jeep, keeping personnel records or guarding a gate in Biloxi, are endeared to our nation's life for they kept us safe and free ..!.
